Welcome to RoadMeet. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the RoadMeet application and related services. Please read these Terms carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using RoadMeet, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app. These Terms apply to all users who access or use our services.
2. Description of Service
RoadMeet is a social platform for solo travelers, offering:
- Discovery and matching with travelers in your city
- Sending greetings to other travelers and building friendships
- Creating and joining local travel activities (food, hiking, nightlife, and more)
- One-on-one private messaging and group chats with other travelers
- Joining city chat rooms to connect with the local travel community
- Managing travel itineraries to find travel companions
- RoadMeet Pro subscription for advanced features including visitor history, incognito browsing, and cross-city matching
3. Account Registration & Security
3.1 You must register an account to access full features. You agree to provide accurate, complete information including your nickname, gender, and birth year.
3.2 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at roadmeetapp@gmail.com.
3.3 Each person may only register one account. Accounts may not be transferred, sold, or shared.
3.4 You must be at least 18 years old to register and use RoadMeet. Minors are not permitted to use the app.
4. User Conduct
You agree to comply with our Community Guidelines and not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fabricated travel experiences or itineraries
- Upload or share violent, pornographic, discriminatory, or illegal content
- Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm other users in any way
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your relationship with any person
- Post spam, advertisements, or unauthorized commercial promotions
- Collect or store other users' personal information
- Use technical means (bots, reverse engineering, injection, etc.) to interfere with or disrupt the app
- Engage in conduct that damages RoadMeet's reputation or interests
- Use the platform for any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
5. Content & Intellectual Property
5.1 Content you post (photos, text, location, etc.) remains yours. You grant RoadMeet a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content as necessary to provide the service.
5.2 RoadMeet's interface design, logo, brand text, and code are our intellectual property and may not be copied, modified, or used commercially without written authorization.
5.3 You represent that your posted content does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
6. Privacy
We take your privacy seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, share, and protect your information.
7. Paid Services
7.1 RoadMeet Pro is an optional paid subscription with weekly, monthly, and semi-annual plans, offering exclusive features including visitor history, incognito browsing, and cross-city matching.
7.2 All subscriptions are processed through App Store or Google Play and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
7.3 Prices may vary by region and platform policy. Refer to the in-app display for current pricing.
7.4 Refund requests must be submitted to Apple App Store or Google Play. We cannot process refunds directly.
8. Safety
RoadMeet is designed to help travelers meet companions, but please stay safe when interacting with strangers:
- Meet for the first time in busy, public locations
- Let friends or family know your plans and meeting arrangements
- If you feel unsafe, use the in-app "Report" feature to flag any concerns
9. Disclaimers
9.1 The app is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties regarding continuity, accuracy, or fitness for purpose.
9.2 Interactions and in-person meetings between users are personal activities. RoadMeet is not liable for any disputes, losses, or injuries arising from such interactions.
9.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoadMeet is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use or inability to use the app.
10. Changes & Termination
10.1 We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate services at any time, with reasonable advance notice where possible.
10.2 If you violate these Terms, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate your account access without prior notice.
10.3 You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Your personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; unresolved disputes shall be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notifications or email with reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
