RoadMeet is a social platform built for solo travelers. We believe every great journey starts with a genuine connection. These Community Guidelines are our shared commitment to keeping RoadMeet a safe, open, and enjoyable space for every traveler. Please read and follow them carefully.
Users who violate these guidelines may face content removal, account restrictions, or permanent bans.
✅ Encouraged Behavior
Be Authentic
- Use real photos and accurate information when creating your profile
- Honestly represent your travel style and interests so others can connect with the real you
- Post genuine itineraries and destinations to attract like-minded travel companions
Be Respectful
- Engage with travelers from all backgrounds, cultures, and nationalities with openness and respect
- Accept when someone doesn't respond to your greeting or declines your invitation — be gracious about it
- Share local tips, recommendations, and travel insights in city chat rooms and activity groups
Be Engaged
- Create genuine, interesting activities that add value to the community
- Honor your commitments to activities; notify others in advance if your plans change
- Help new users feel welcome on the platform
Stay Safe
- Meet strangers for the first time in busy, public locations
- Let friends or family know your plans and meeting arrangements
- If a situation makes you uncomfortable, end the conversation or use the Report feature
❌ Prohibited Behavior
Harassment & Abuse
- Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, or insult other users in any form
- Do not continue messaging someone after they have clearly declined or ignored you
- Do not attack or discriminate based on appearance, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic
Sexual & Inappropriate Content
- Do not post or share pornographic, obscene, or sexually suggestive content
- Do not upload nudity, graphic violence, or disturbing imagery
- Do not use the platform for solicitation, prostitution, or any form of sexual transaction
Misinformation & Fraud
- Do not impersonate others, including using someone else's photo as your profile picture
- Do not fabricate travel plans or fake experiences to gain trust
- Do not use the pretense of travel companionship to commit fraud or scams
Spam & Advertising
- Do not post commercial advertisements in chats, activities, or city chat rooms
- Do not mass-send promotional messages or referral links to other users
- Do not use activities as a pretext to gather users for commercial pitches
Illegal Content
- Do not post any content that violates applicable local laws and regulations
- Do not use the platform to spread information related to drugs, gambling, trafficking, or other illegal activities
- Do not post hate speech or inciteful content
🚩 How to Report Violations
If you encounter a user or content that violates these guidelines, you can report it through:
- Report a user: Visit their profile, tap the menu in the top right → select "Report"
- Report a chat message: Long-press the message in the chat → select "Report"
- Report an activity: Open the activity details, tap the menu in the top right → select "Report"
- Email us: For urgent or serious matters, contact us directly at roadmeetapp@gmail.com
We take every report seriously. For severe violations (e.g., sexual harassment, fraud), we will act immediately upon verification, including permanent account bans and potential legal action.
⚖️ Enforcement
Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, we may take the following actions:
- Issue a warning to the offending user
- Remove the violating content
- Restrict certain features (e.g., sending greetings, creating activities)
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Permanently ban the account and block re-registration
For serious illegal violations, we will cooperate fully with relevant law enforcement authorities.
