RoadMeet ("we," "us," or "our") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the RoadMeet application. By using RoadMeet, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

• Account info: name, email address, profile photo, gender, age
• Profile info: bio, travel preferences, native language
• Travel info: current city, destination, travel dates
• User content: activities you create, messages, comments

Information we collect automatically:

• Location: approximate location (city-level) when you grant permission
• Device info: device type, OS version, app version
• Usage data: feature usage, page views, activity participation
• Log data: access times, IP address, crash reports

Third-party login information:

• When signing in with Apple or Google, we receive basic information you authorize (name, email)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide core services: traveler matching, activity recommendations, messaging
• Improve product experience: analyze usage data to optimize features
• Security: verify identity, prevent fraud and abuse
• Send notifications: activity reminders, friend requests, announcements

We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to the above, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

• Other users: Your public profile (photo, name, city) is visible to other users. You can control visibility in settings.

We retain your data while you use our services. After account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

RoadMeet is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover a minor has registered, we will promptly delete their data.

9. Location Information

Location is a core feature of RoadMeet. We only access your location with your explicit permission, and only use city-level approximate location for traveler matching. You can disable location permission in your device settings at any time.

10. Cookies & Tracking

The app does not use cookies. We may use anonymous analytics tools to collect aggregated usage data to improve the product.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notifications or email, with reasonable advance notice before changes take effect.
