- Service providers: We use third-party service providers (cloud storage, push notifications, messaging, subscription management) who process data only as necessary to deliver their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, or court order.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as an asset. We will notify you in advance and protect your rights.
4. Profile Photo Authenticity Verification
RoadMeet is designed to foster genuine real-world social connections. To help ensure that user profile photos contain a real human face, we perform an on-device face detection check during the registration process.
How face detection works:
- On-device only, never uploaded: Face detection is performed locally on your device using Google ML Kit. Image data never leaves your device during this process.
- Boolean result only: The check returns only a yes/no result — whether a face is present in the image. No facial features are extracted, analyzed, or recognized.
- Result immediately discarded: The detection result is discarded instantly after the check completes. It is never logged, stored, or transmitted.
- No biometric data collected: RoadMeet does not collect, store, or process any face data or biometric information.
- Only your profile photo is stored: Once the check passes, your uploaded profile photo (a standard image file) is stored on our servers for display on your profile. This photo is deleted from our servers within 30 days of account deletion.
5. Data Security
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
- All data transmissions are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- Database access is subject to strict permission controls
- Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If you discover any security issues, please contact us immediately at roadmeetapp@gmail.com.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data while you use our services. After account deletion, we will remove your profile, travel information, and chat content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., transaction records). Aggregated anonymous statistics may be retained long-term for product analysis.

9. Location Information

- We only access location with your explicit permission
- We use only city-level approximate location — we do not track your real-time movement
- You can disable location permission at any time in your device settings
- Disabling location will affect certain features such as same-city matching
10. Cookies & Tracking
